I picked up a couple of the Maybelline Baby Lips- I know these have recently come out in the UK but they don't have as many colours, plus I found them for a little bit cheaper over here. I bought two colours, first Shocking Pink on the left and then Cherry Me. Shocking Pink is not yet available in the UK and is more pigmented than the normal ones but just as moisturising (it kind of reminds me of Revlon Lip Butter but with a less glossy finish). Then Cherry Me has a lovely sweet cherry scent and is very moisturising. It is slightly coloured with a dark pinkish-red, and is perfect to wear when you want a very natural look.
I found a complete bargain in Walmart- you could get both of these mascaras in double packs for around $7, so I picked up one pack of the Falsies and also the Mega Plush Volume. I hadn't tried either of these before but I am very impressed with both- one has a slightly curved brush and one has a chunky brush. Granted, these are a tiny bit smaller than the mascaras you get in the UK, but this works out at about £2.50 a mascara so it's definitely good value.
I had intended in buying this Covergirl Whipped Creme Foundation before I went on holiday after reading some reviews of this and thought it would work well for me. Unfortunately they didn't have any testers in the shop, so at first I had to guess my shade and I chose 305 'Ivory' which is the lightest shade. When I tried it out I figured it was slightly too light for me at the moment (I have a bit of a tan on my face) so I went back and picked up 320 'Creamy Natural'. I've got a review coming up of this foundation so I won't say too much except that I like it!
I also picked up my first Essie nail polish in the shade 'Fear or Desire'. While I was in the store a lovely woman gave me a coupon for $2 off all Essie nail polishes so this came to only $6 which works out at about £3.80. It's a lovely bright shade but that's all I'll say for now as I have a review coming up shortly!
I wanted to get a bra in Victoria's Secret but the oh, the prices! I just couldn't justify it. Instead I came out with a beautiful new bikini which of course, I didn't need but it definitely makes me feel good. It comes with removable straps and has a tie back. I also love the scalloped edge on the top, and the bottoms fit really well. What really drew me to it was the colour- it's a lovely turquoise colour and it really suits tanned skin.
Finally I picked up this sweatshirt in a local beachwear shop and it's almost so ugly it's cute. It's a lovely lilac colour and has a loose fit. The logo on the front is cute and plus it was probably cheaper than you'd find a sweatshirt in the UK. I'll be wearing this with leggings or some Mom jeans.
