Sharks and a Birmingham Rooftop

Skirt- Illustrated People // Top- Topshop // Jacket- Miss Selfridge // Shoes- Juju Jellies // Socks- Topshop // Bag- ASOS // Necklace- eBay

Last weekend I headed into Birmingham for a day, which isn't normally something particularly special considering I live less than an hour away by train or car. However rather than just spending the whole day in the Bullring shopping, I spent the day being a bit more cultural. My brother took me to the theatre where we saw a fantastic production of 'A Life of Galileo' at the REP theatre, we then headed to the library next door and stood on both rooftop gardens where the views are spectacular- you can see for miles. For dinner we went to the Gourmet Burger Kitchen where I had possibly the best burger I've ever tasted- chicken, camembert and cranberry with a side of (heavenly) sweet potato fries.

I picked up this skirt from Topshop, and I was purely suckered in because it has sharks on it which is unlike any print you normally see. It was around £30 which I think is pretty expensive considering the material it's made of but I will definitely get lots of wear out of it in the coming months. Just a warning for you taller people- I'm 5 foot 4 and this skirt is pretty short on me so just be cautious if you order from the brand online.
