Office Wanderlust Suede Boots // Shoe Unboxing

This A/W I've fallen head over heels for suede. I recently picked up a suede jacket and there's a few suede pieces on my wishlist at the moment so you can imagine my delight when I spotted these suede peep toe ankle boots in Office. Admittedly, these aren't exactly weather-appropriate if it rains but they're so beautiful that I know I'll wear them a lot anyway. The heel height is about 2.5 inches which means they'll be fine for everyday wear. The suede is super soft, both inside and out, making them very comfortable, and the adjustable ankle strap gives them the perfect fit. They look fantastic with my blue mom jeans and the suede jacket (an outfit you'll no doubt be seeing here very soon), as well as with black jeans and my favourite leopard print skirt. While they were fairly pricey (student discount helps to justify this though!) I think they're fantastic quality and providing I spray them with a suede protector, should last me a long time.

River Island Heeled Gladiator Lace Ups // Shoe Unboxing

River Island Lace Up Gladiator Sandals via ASOS

These shoes were a little accidental ASOS purchase- I say accidental but I knew exactly what I was doing. I saw them whilst just browsing and fell in love and without really thinking I'd clicked 'buy'. Let's just say I'm glad I was so instant as I now see they've gone out of stock so my quick fingers saved me from disappointment! Let me list the perks of these shoes for you: real leather, meaning they'll be super long lasting; lace up so perfect for narrow feet like mine; cut-outs but not too much foot on show- perfect for foot-phobes like me! They really go with the style I've been leaning towards lately which is kind of sophisticated casual. I like that the heel just gives me that bit of extra height and they make a nice contrast to the trainers you usually see me in. While they were fairly pricey, I honestly think I'll get a lot of wear out of them all through this summer so there's no doubt you'll be seeing them in an outfit post soon.

Shoe Unboxing // Lemon Block Heel Sandals

I've actually had these shoes for quite a while but they've been sat in my room in their box and un-photographed because I haven't actually worn them yet. But there's a good reason! These are the shoes I plan on wearing for my sixth form leavers dinner- I already have my dress (but you'll have to wait to see that) and thought these shoes would go perfectly as they keep with the summery colour scheme. Since I work over the road from a Dorothy Perkins I regularly find myself popping in there for a bit of a browse so I was really pleased to receive a gift card for the shop for my birthday. Just by coincidence I went in on a 20% day meaning I got a great deal for the shoes too.

The lemon and white block colours are really simple and sweet, and the 3 and a half inch heel means they're pretty easy to walk in. Now I'll be honest- I have a bit of a weird thing about feet and don't really like having them out but I'm going to conquer that to wear these shoes because although the straps are chunky, there's still quite a lot of foot out! As I say, I'll wear these for my leavers dinner but I also know that I'll get a lot of wear out of them after this- they'll look great with some white jeans or a lot of the dresses I own for an evening out. They're a really lovely summery shoe and at a great price too.

Shoe Unboxing // New Balance 996 in Mint

So before I talk about the shoes, I want to first declare my love for the new style of Schuh stores. Apart from the huge range that they stock, the new system means that they can check whether they have shoes in stock before going into the storeroom, meaning no more hanging around while they hunt for a pair in your size. Also they have multiple tills mounted on walls around the store meaning no more waiting in a queue. Receipts are emailed to you, you have a whole to return a pair and just generally I had a really pleasant shopping experience there. Anyway, now for the good stuff!

I have most definitely over-worn my black Nike trainers. I bought them last summer and have gotten so much wear out of them that I decided it was time to get myself another pair of trainers. I wanted something summery but that would also go with everything (beautiful as the floral pairs are they're much harder to wear!). I went for the New Balance 996 shoes in this beautiful mint green colour (I've also seem them in lilac elsewhere but decided the green was more me). They originally came with white laces in them but I switched them for the green that came in the box just to add even more colour.

Obviously the main reason I love them is because they are so comfortable. They don't need any breaking in like most shoes I buy so I've been able to walk a long way in them straightaway. They're also a little slimmer than my Nikes, so slightly more daintier so I think they'll work well with dresses and bare legs when the sun is out. They look fantastic with my new white jeans and I just know I'll get so much wear out of them. While I would normally think that £65 is a lot for a pair of shoes (I did also get 10% student discount off this price too- bonus!) I think when it comes to trainers it's completely worth it because they really last well and if I think in terms of price-per-wear I just can't complain!

Shoe Unboxing // River Island Snakeskin Slippers

I'm on a bit of a major clear out at the moment- I have so many clothing items that I don't wear but keep "just in case". This includes shoes so I got rid of a fair few pairs and then reassessed my collection. What I found I was missing was a pair of smart flats that I could wear for an evening out. I have some very fancy ones (my ASOS Sugar Rush heels are perfect for that) but decided to go on the hunt for something smart but not too fancy.

I don't often shop on River Island but I'm glad I had a look because I adore the shoes I chose. The slipper shape is really nice and simple but the details are what make them really special. The stone grey colour will go with pretty much everything and is a bit different to the black that I would probably go for normally. The box on the front is fabric and contrasts with the gorgeous textured snakeskin pattern on the toe. The wooden heel is also trimmed with a gold edging which just finishes of the shoe in a really lovely way.

They cost £28 which I was pretty happy to pay because they feel quite sturdy and good quality. They have a quilted insole which is a nice touch and certainly makes them more comfortable but just from wearing them around the house I can tell they'll need a bit of breaking in- the heel particularly is quite firm so I may find myself sticking some gel pads in the back until they soften up a bit, but apart from that I'm so pleased with them! They'll look great with just jeans and a top and are perfect for when I don't want to wear heels for an evening out.

Shoe Unboxing // New Look Pointed Block Heels

More shoes? What can I say, I'm a fiend for them. These shoes were in the New Look sale for just £10, and I bought them with a Christmas gift card so they're completely worth it! They have a faux-croc effect on the toe, with a thick ankle strap and the chunky heel measuring about 4 and a half inches. Personally, I find them very comfortable, but I'm pretty good with most heels anyway (my highest pair are about 6 and half inches- gulp!). For me, these shoes are going to be a bit of an inbetween- a little less fancy than my ASOS Sugar Rush heels but a bit more classy than my Topshop Webbs. They'll be great for dressing up jeans or toning down a dress and I cannot wait to wear these out.

Shoe Unboxing // ASOS Makeshift Cream Brogues

I've been doing a fair bit of shopping lately (gulp) because I was feeling stuck in a rut. I feel like (well, I do) I wear my chelsea boots non-stop. They've been my go-to throughout winter but I'm feeling a bit bored of them and fancied something a bit different. These ASOS brogues caught my eye as I love a chunky shoe, and cream is just a bit different as I don't own any shoes this colour at the moment. They feel like great quality and they fit me perfectly. Admittedly, these will take a while to break in- I've only been wearing them around the house so far and am feeling a bit of pain- but I feel it'll be worth it because once they're broken it, they should be pretty comfortable and last me a long time. I have no doubt you'll be seeing these in a outfit post very soon so give me a follow if you're not already to see these in action!

Shoe Unboxing // ASOS Sugar Rush Heels

OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD. After saying in my last shoe unboxing that I was pretty much done with shoes for the moment, I'm back with another recent purchase. Do I feel guilty? Hell no- because these shoes are quite possibly the best pair I've ever owned.

I saw them; I fell in love. I pondered them for a few days before putting in my order (having student discount has definitely helped to justify many purchases I can tell you). Unusually for ASOS, the delivery was pretty slow which I was dissapointed with but they were so worth the wait.

They're made of a faux suede with a 2 inch heel and an ankle strap. They are so different to my current go-to night out shoe- the Topshop Webb which is chunky and metallic. These are dainty and ladylike and make it so easy to smarten up an outfit. I love to team them with black jeans and my denim jacket for a mixed-up look. At first, I was worried about comfort, but all my fears have now been cast aside. They took a bit of getting used to when it came to walking in them, but I could now walk for miles. Of course the low heel means my feet won't ache after only walking out of my house and the ankle strap and (what shall we call it?!) heel support just adds to the comfort.

The shoes are normally £40 from ASOS and also come in nude for those of you interested!

Shoe Unboxing // ASOS Simba Heels

"Another shoes unboxing already?!" I hear you cry. I know, it's only a couple of weeks or so since I did a last one but these are definitely a practical buy as I plan on wearing these when I go back to sixth form in September. I picked these out as I thought they were really cool- kind of smart but also king of edgy with the chunky sole. I love the two-tone effect, of the suede material in the middle with the patent toe and heel. They're going to be great for Autumn through to Winter as the grippy sole will be good if it gets a bit icy outside. Also when it gets cold they'll look super cute with some frilly socks or black tights.

In terms of comfort I can't really say yet, as I haven't really been out in them yet however I reckon because of the sturdiness they'll be good for walking in. The heel height is about 2 inches- I am obsessed with shoes with this heel because they give me that little bit of extra height and make me walk taller but without being too dressy or challenging to walk in. They're pretty reasonably priced too and come in a leopard print version too which I love and am very tempted by. Let me know what you think!

Shoe Unboxing // Nike Flex Experience

Apologies these aren't the best pictures- I bought these shows whilst on holiday and didn't wanted to bring the box home so had to take the photos without my blogging camera, but hopefully you can still see them well enough. I was getting tired of having shoes that weren't particularly comfortable- most of my shoes I can wear for maybe a maximum of an hour of walking around before they start causing me problems, so I decided the time had come for me to buy a pair of trainers. I never thought previously they were really me, but I'd seen a lot of people recently wearing them and looking great so I thought, why shouldn't I look like that?

As I said, I picked these up whilst in America recently. I knew I wanted Nikes and spotted these one day and decided they were perfect. I went for a monochrome pair as I knew they'd go with pretty much everything and would carry through to autumn/winter. Of course, my favourite thing about them is how incredibly comfortable they are. I can (and have) walked for miles in these- they were perfect for when I went to London earlier this week as my feet didn't hurt once despite all the walking I did. Although I can't find this exact pair online, i have found some similar ones and I'm pretty sure it did work out cheaper to buy them in the US. No doubt you'll be seeing these in an outfit post very soon!

Shoe Unboxing! // Office Dahlia

I'm off to London this weekend (let me know if you want to see a post all about it!) which obviously is going to involve lots of walking round and I was really struggling to decide which shoes to wear. I have lots of comfy shoes but the only pair that I can walk miles in are my aztec Toms which aren't the nicest to look at, despite the jazzy pattern. So I headed to the shops and came away with these sandals which I adore.

They cost £48 which is a bit expensive but they are real leather so hopefully will last very long. The heel height is about 2.5 inches which makes them super easy to walk in. The leather is incredibly soft and they are just perfect for spring as they will keep my feet cool but still completely supported. They have rubbed me a little bit, but I'm planning on getting some gel heel inserts just to make them a little comfier. I have loads of things that these will go with so I'm so happy I found them!
